(Dane Rogers, Charcoal on Fabriano paper, 2023) I produced this rather abstract piece as a reaction to our matric final theme of ‘light’. I made the decision to interpret this theme as the light of temptation. The work demonstrates the search for this light and the consequential ‘fall from grace’ in pursuit of desire.
